I have both 82” tvs of these models. The TU7000 has deep blacks but just seems lack luster. The Q60t blacks look a little washed out. I also notice motion gets pretty bad at times no matter what options I select. Color is phenomenal but to me this tv doesn’t look as sharp in some aspects. Overall both tvs lack in picture options. I am not happy with Samsung. I still have a 70” Vizio 240hz with local dimming that still does a balanced job of handling all media handling gaming very very well. Although it is 1080p I have loved this tv to death. Long story short I bought the TU7000 first at Best Buy and lost the receipt in moving. Went back today and wanted the Q60t which priced dropped over $400. I’m stuck with the first and returning the Q60t ASAP. Just going to sell the other and buy an upper tier OLED and sacrifice size and be happy with the picture.
I recently bought the TU7000 before seeing your videos and I absolutely love it. I definitely prefer the darker display on the TU7000 as it makes the images slightly crisper(Viewing your review from my phone I definitely prefer the Q60T but the TU7000 looks better on my TV). My only issue is the volume on the speaker but nothing a soundbar won't fix. One thing I noticed is that my TU7000 came with the newer fancy remote like the Q60T.
Okay it's possible that I may have gotten one manufactured outside of the US.
Great reviews and thanks for the info, will you be comparing the SAMSUNG Q60T vs Hisense UQ8F and vs the LG UP7500? Would really like to see which is the better overall and gaming TV. P.S Would love to see you hit the wheels of steel again DJ ; )
Hey Tech Steve and YT Readers, CN you tell me please if it's worth upgrading to the Q60A from the 7000 for a 43 inch screen? I ask because it seems that most evaluations between the two and separately use larger 55" screens. Can you notice much of a difference in a smaller 43" screen?
I get that the Q60A has a superior picture. But my focus is on the smaller 43" screen. Has any reader tested the 43" only sized screen. I have read across the Internet that the difference(s) are largely noticeable on the larger 55" sets. What size set did Tech Steve use in this review?
Can I get your thoughts? Should I get the AU8000 or Q60T, I cant find any vids comparing the two. Would really appreciate it if you can answer me. Thanks!
I purchased the entry level 60A QLED 55 inch and my opinion the picture wasn't as crisp as expected, I returned it for a 55 TU7000 which to me shows a better picture. Something may be wrong with my eyes, but I was highly satisfied.
Just bought the tu7000 60".. can't wait to try it.. but just here to say that that coral reef video in the beginning is where im from.. that's palau 🇵🇼 ..
I don't understand the letter and number alphabet soup. I just got a Samsung au8000 55" but it looks small for my living room so I'm going to return it for a 65" but now I want a qled tv but theyr so many of them I can't tell what's better qn55q85aa q85q70aa I have no idea what it means
I have a Samsung in my parent's home and I love the picture quality. I'm buying a new one for my apartment and was undecided between getting another Samsung or a new LG… I decided on the Samsung even though I do have two peeves about it that I don't believe you addressed in your video and am curious about. 1- Samsung does not mirror screens with Androids without having to download an additional app whereas you can screen mirror with an iPhone seamlessly. 2 – The voice control on Samsung is hit or miss, depending on the app or something else I haven't yet figured out but plan to. I'd like to be able to simply talk to my tv and it do what I ask. Like magic. Thanks for your video, it was super helpful! I confirmed Samsung is for me because I can learn to maneuver the navigation but what I'm really after is the picture quality.
I was about to buy the Q60A. But at the last minute I opted for Sony X85J 50" and I love it. With a few tweaks it was ready to go. I can't wait to see your review on the X85J.
As a PC monitor utilisation would you recommand me the TU7000 or the Q60A ? Knowing that in my country the Q60A is 140$ more. Thanks for all yours reviews.
That's Great! I thought the TU7000 was on the right, but I preferred the image on the Left! I found the the balance of colors more accurate! That Cool considering I just one! Thanks TECH STEVE!!!!!!!
Both these TV’s HAVE 2.0B HDMI inputs, NOT 2.1 HDMI inputs. Yes it supports eARC but that does not make it a “2.1 HDMI input for sound but not video” I have no idea why you said that, no such thing that a 2.1 HDMI input that does NOT support 120hz and the full features of 2.1 HDMI, but supports eARC.
Therefore both these TV’s are 2.0B HDMI inputs instead of 2.0A (which does not support eARC) Samsung just decided to give customers a little more out of a 2.0 HDMI input 60Hz tv by making it a eARC 2.0B. So basically Samsung gave us every possible detail they could put in a 2.0B input.
Please edit this because it’s confusing to a lot of people who aren’t tech savvy saying it’s a 2.1 HDMI but only for sound, no it’s just a 2.0B that SUPPORTS eRC. Other then that thank you for this video and all the many important specs/details you pointed out between the differences of these two TV’s!!
Thank you for this video. Very informative. I really liked that last segment, truthfully addressing the question of "should you buy the fancier version." I'm probably closer to the first type, who just wants something decent at a good price. I appreciate the honesty to acknowledge that there are some people for whom the simpler TV makes more sense, and not that everyone should just go buy the fancier one (because it's better!).
Turning off the Power Saving Mode on this Unit will enhance your viewing pleasure drastically. It's factory set to on, which is not allowing the QLEDs to operate at full brightness, turning off and enjoy.

I just ordered 82" TU7000, what's a good match in soundbar that will go under tv when mounted on over the fireplace drop down mount?

Steve the savior!
Hi. I'm confused as to why the more expensive tv doesn't have HDMI 2.1 input) PS great review

DOH! For $200 CDN difference. I should have bought the Q.

great explanations easy to understand the difference
can you do a review the 7000 vs the 8000????? please
Thank you for this. My husband just got us a used Q60T and this helped ease some of my fears about the picture not being quite up to par.
So helpful. Thanks 🙏🏾

my tu7000 died within a year and a half of owning it got horizontal lines on the bottom that wont go away

Blu-ray movies look terrible on a lower end QLED TV. Get the TU7000.
How does the quality of the sound compare between the two ?
How do we get the volume to work on our Samsung cu7000b tv
Sir , can i ask a question , does Q60T have better blacks . I am wondering if it is brighter it may have worse blacks .
Hay Samsung Q60D ? 2024
LG nanocell 80T ? 2024
Thanks Steve 😊
