MOVA P50 Pro Ultra Review: Automated Vacuuming, Mopping and Dock Maintenance

The MOVA P50 Pro Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop built around hands-off floor care. It combines a manufacturer-rated 19,000 Pa of suction with dual rotary mops, automatic mop removal, extendable edge-cleaning hardware and a dock that empties dust, washes and dries the mop pads, dispenses detergent and refills the robot. Tech Steve's demonstrations showed it collecting debris from carpet, cleaning large liquid messes from hard flooring, navigating a container obstacle course without contact and cleaning its used mop pads at the dock. Its biggest compromises are the ongoing dock maintenance, 2.4 GHz-only Wi-Fi, limited clearance beneath low furniture and the presence of an indoor RGB camera.

Video summary

Tech Steve tested the P50 Pro Ultra on carpet debris and reported that it collected the material before returning to the dock and emptying itself. For the mopping demonstration, he placed cream and fruit punch across a hard floor; the robot cleaned the area and returned to its base. He also demonstrated the dock's mop-pad cleaning cycle and showed the pads after cleaning. An obstacle course made from containers illustrated the robot navigating through tight spaces without touching them. Other highlighted features included whole-home mapping, carpet detection, mop lifting, vacuum-only operation with the mops left at the dock, edge cleaning, scheduled operation and PIN-protected remote viewing through the front camera.

Bottom line

Tech Steve Takeaway

The P50 Pro Ultra is a strong fit for shoppers who want routine vacuuming and mopping handled with minimal intervention. Its carpet debris pickup, hard-floor mopping, obstacle avoidance and dock self-maintenance performed well in Tech Steve's demonstrations. It is most compelling in homes with mixed hard floors and low-pile carpet, while camera-conscious users, 5 GHz-only networks and homes with thicker carpeting require more consideration.

The MOVA P50 Pro Ultra combines a manufacturer-rated 19,000 Pa of suction, dual rotary mop pads and a multi-sensor navigation system. Its RCPE0104 base station empties the robot's dust box, washes and heated-dries the mop pads, adds detergent, refills the onboard water supply and can automatically remove or reinstall the mop assemblies. FlexReach extends the side brush and one mop for improved edge coverage, while CleanLift independently raises cleaning components for different floor conditions.

Navigation and smart features

The MOVAhome app supports mapping, room and zone cleaning, no-go areas, furniture placement, schedules and floor-specific cleaning settings. CleanGenius can adjust cleaning behavior according to detected conditions. The robot also supports a built-in MOVA voice assistant, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri. Remote camera monitoring and two-way communication are available through the app, but setup requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

What we like

  • The multifunction dock empties dust, washes and heated-dries the mop pads, refills water and dispenses detergent, substantially reducing daily handling.
  • Automatic mop removal lets the robot leave wet mop assemblies at the dock during vacuum-only carpet cleaning instead of relying solely on mop lifting.
  • The extendable side brush and rotary mop improve coverage along walls, in corners and beneath compatible cabinet overhangs.
  • LDS mapping, a 3D line-laser sensor, an RGB camera and floor sensors provide complementary navigation and obstacle-detection systems.
  • Tech Steve's demonstrations showed successful carpet debris pickup, large-area spill cleaning and contact-free navigation through a container obstacle course.
  • Room, zone, schedule and no-go-area controls make the MOVAhome app useful for customized cleaning routines.

What to consider

  • The robot is approximately 4.09 inches tall, preventing it from cleaning beneath furniture with less clearance.
  • Wi-Fi setup supports 2.4 GHz networks but not 5 GHz connections.
  • The 10.5 mm mop lift may not provide enough separation for thicker carpet; leaving the mops at the dock is the safer vacuum-only option.
  • The used-water tank should be emptied and cleaned regularly, while the dock also needs water refills, bags, solution and periodic filter and washboard maintenance.
  • The indoor RGB camera enables remote monitoring but may not suit households that prefer camera-free smart-home devices.
  • The 19,000 Pa suction, 75°C wash-water temperature, 45°C drying air and up-to-75-day bag interval are manufacturer claims, and actual results depend on conditions and usage.

Tech Steve verdict

The MOVA P50 Pro Ultra offers an unusually complete hands-off cleaning system. Its 19,000 Pa maximum suction claim, dual rotary mops, automatic mop removal, extendable side brush and mop, multi-sensor navigation and comprehensive base station make it particularly suitable for mixed-floor homes. Tech Steve's carpet, spill and obstacle demonstrations showed effective cleaning and careful navigation under the tested conditions. Buyers should still expect to empty the used-water tank, refill clean water, replace dock bags and solution, and clean the dock periodically. The 4.09-inch robot height may also prevent access beneath low furniture, while 10.5 mm mop lifting is not ideal for thicker carpet when the pads remain installed. Buy it if reducing routine floor-cleaning work is the priority; consider a simpler, camera-free model if remote monitoring and advanced automation are unnecessary.

What makes it different

Exclusive technology

FlexReach

Extends the side brush and one rotary mop outward to improve cleaning along walls, in corners and beneath cabinet overhangs.

CleanChop

An anti-tangle main-brush design intended to cut or release wrapped hair and reduce manual brush cleaning.

CleanLift System

Raises the main brush, side brush or mop assemblies when appropriate so wet and dry cleaning tasks can be separated and brushes can avoid spreading liquid messes.

Intelligent Dirt Detection

Uses an RGB camera and additional sensors to recognize certain visible debris or spills and adjust the cleaning strategy for the affected area.

Automatic Mop Removal and Reattachment

Allows the robot to leave its rotary mop assemblies at the dock for vacuum-only carpet cleaning and reinstall them when mopping is required.

CleanGenius Mode

An automated cleaning mode that can alter cleaning behavior according to detected conditions; the separately documented Large Particles Boost option is available only within this mode.
