This has features that the LG mini LEDs don't, it has a ATSC 3.0 tuner. I really wish LG had that dam tuner in the QNED 85. I look forward to you thoughts on this TV.
I would love compare this to NEW 85 inch 6 series TCL just came out as in pic quality because comes with few new feathers, wanna see if beats the U8H, ..BUT about this U8H is really hard to get this TV in stock in any size even i wanna get it on 75 inch ..is sales like HOT cakes these days ..is one of the f*n great TV of the year hands down
I bought this tv back in late August. It has plenty of versatility and a good picture. I got it while it went on sale at Best Buy. I got the settings to make it similar to an OLED.
Awesome video Steve! My Samsung WN90B died and was hoping to grab one of these. But the model we have here in Toronto is a U88H, is that the same tv? And up here it’s 1699& plus 13% taxes here. What kills me is I was in Port Huron, and Chesterfield Michigan yesterday. If I knew there was that much of a price difference I could of grabbed one down there :(. Steve would you say the brightness is close to a Samsung Qled for brightness… and when tv flips over to game mode does the tv get dimmer? My Sony X90J does 🙁
These manufacturers need to at least add a 5th HDMI just for sound as they keep on taking one of the 2.1 HDMI for EARC which leave only one to use for everything else and people usually have more than one electronic to plug into the back of the tv .
Does it look realistic? I heard everything looks artificial, especially compared to sony tvs. I don't have audio on, so I don't know if you mention it in the video
Is it better to lay the TV "face down or "face up"? Isn't it more likely to damage the screen or pixels when "Face down". Also when picking it after installing the feet, isn't is more likely to press on the screen with one's fingers because of the small size bezel? When the screen is "face up", you can place your fingers on the bezel because you can better see the screen and place your fingers more appropriately.
Bought this TV, but within 4-5 hours of watching, screen went black with just vertical lines. Tried factory reset, but no help. So my experience is horrible with this TV, unfortunately
I saw the obvious plastic you removed from around the screen, but there is also a plastic coating on the bottom bezel. Do you remove that? It looks loose on the bottom edge but doesn’t seem to want to peel off.
Nice. Fantastic unboxing video. We love this TV and couldn't be more happy with it. The sound is awesome and it gets so bright. Everytime we game on it our jaws hit the floor.
@TechSteve do you have settings and game settings you prefer? When go to 120 hertz on ps5 . Its says supported. But shows 60 on game info. Btw im in mission valley! SD life!

You really can't beat the bang for buck, TCL the only one that comes close.
I’ve been looking at the 65” u7h is there much in the 2 models. Obviously ones newer but the 2021 version much cheaper. 👍

Son and I watched this video today and unboxed and set up my new U8H. Very easy and its up and running. So far very good. Thanks for your efforts!
