The 80j looks better to me. Richer looking.
IT's an IPS thing. IPS are generally a more expensive panel that gives better colour and viewing angle.
Dude, the 43 inch on the x85j is an IPS panel.. There's a lot of complains about that!
I hate VA panels because the colors are just a nightmare and the purple tint just kills, I can’t understand why Sony puts all new models only on va panels! (( Please tell me a good TV IPS with a diagonal of 50", tnks.

It’s always a safe bet to buy a model that’s very popular due to its lower price range which means it’s manufactured more frequently which in turn means kinks are discovered and ironed out unlike very high end models produced less frequently. Since it’s a Sony which has excellent quality control can’t go wrong with the buy.

I have the x80j tv and my bezel is identical to the x85j tv that you are pointing out in your video. I'm just curious that you may have got them mixed up. But I'm sure you checked everything out before the set up. Also I think you can look at the two HDMI 2.1 inputs. Great video though👍. I'm just wondering why my bezel has the same design as the x85j tv. Thank you.

It is a hundred bucks cheaper on this one website at $498. But after looking at this video, the picture was clearly much better on the X80J. Please let me know what you think.Thanks. MRT 🙂

That’s too weird, I saw in rtings review and the x85j is way better in contrast has better black levels compared to the x80j
x80k or x85j which is better in 2023
