I like the review and appreciate the content man, however I'm gonna have to disagree with some of your points here. I've had the Hisense U8H for about a week now and the set has really terrible motion processing. I mean, it's abysmal. Massive ghosting and blur, especially in dark scenes. It's brighter, sure, but I think it's learning a bit too much on the warm side of things. HDR looks kinda washed. There is no setting I can tinker with, or picture setting, that fixes the motion blur and ghosting issues. Extremely disappointing, I'm probably going to exchange it for the X90K. I have had nothing but good things to say about Sony TV's over the years.
Hi Steve. Quality of the picture to me is the bottom line and in my humble opinion the Sony has the better and more natural picture of the two. The profile picture of the woman on both tvs really showed the Sony to have the better picture for me. Thanks for the video comparison.
The Sony x90k is a better tv.I bought the u8h on all of these reviews online and I did not care for it the picture has a blurry tint and a lot of stutter and if you turn off motion enhancement it’s unwatchable.I had too return 2 tvs because of horrible banding that you could see in all content the tv is brighter than the Sony and has better antireflective screen and that’s about it. The sony is great out of the box for all content and everything works smoothly with no glitches The hisense would change all my settings randomly.Motion is great on the Sony and everything has a natural look. If you can spend a few hundred more get the sony the u8h having mini led means nothing with that horrible processing
So I think the Hisense has lots of features and with the mini led tech the blacks are blacker but that warm filter, makes me want to 🤢 esp when you see what it looks like to Sonys picture quality, blues are blues, reds are reds, vs Hisense (any color)/orange
Thanks for what you do , it's fun watching , listening to your comments while in driving on my 1 1/2 hour commute . I bought a Samsung QLED Q70T almost 2 years ago & I wasn't thinking about buying a TV but watching & listening to your channel well I'm intrigued now . I told my cousin if he wants to buy my TV he said yes so my question is if any of these TV's are better than the one I have before I sell it . Thanks again for what you do
The SONY has a much higher image quality, and much more faithful to reality in terms of colors. And the overall qualities (manufacturing and materials used) and longevity of SONY much higher. These two aren't even comparable, they don't play in the same class
No matter which one you buy, get in your home, without another TV next to it, you will love it !!!!, had the same dilemma when I bought my plasma, but one home !!!, that was 11 yrs ago !!!!
I highly recommend the Sony over the Hisense. As you can see in this video color accuracy is way better on the Sony and there are settings that you can adjust to reduce the blooming and motion blur. I wish I could see a comparison to this Hisense with tweaked settings on the Sony.
I just bought the U8H because of all the awesome reviews Im seeing from everyone . plus there putting this against oled even which is crazy and it still holds its own . and for the price you just cant beat it. you get some much tv on the u8h for way cheaper .
I had a U8H but returned it. It is interesting how two different people see different things. On your video, to MY eyes, the Sony looks a lot better except the blooming. But the huge one is motion. Your eye preferred the Hisense and I respect that. I saw where all the other reviewers were complaining about the Hisense having motion problems, studdering, banding of colors and blamed it on Hisense processor not being up to the task. I figured they were overblowing it and ordered one. Nope. Holy cow they were right on the money. Drove me nuts. I returned it and saw your video where I greatly preferred the Sony. The first time my wife walked in and saw the Sony 75X90K she was wowed and told me she liked this one MUCH better. I agree. I bought mine through Costco so it came with a better backlit remote and a 5 year warranty. Buying at Costco also means it was never pulled off the shipping pallet and I rented a van to bring it home myself so I knew it was handled with care. After updating the software, it now has a new gaming bar/menu. The Sony processor is legendary for its capability as is it's reputation for quality. I kept my last TV for 16 years so quality matters to me. At this point, I plan to keep the Sony.
To say the least Sony could play catch up while Hisense also owns the Toshiba brand and sold in Japan as Toshiba, to say the likes of Panasonic, and Sharp, could play a role if Toshiba under Hisense is outselling those brands in Japan.
To put it on that Samsung/Panasonic merger might come to see if Panasonic could steal the spot from Sharp or Sony in Japan!
My question is when you are watching movies or tv shows with fireworks or strobing lights my current Sony Bravia pixels. What do I need to look out for to correct this? I should add I don’t watch blue ray movies but stream and or cable box only.
Where I'm from we are limited to what Sony TV's we have and currently only the Sony X90K 75" and the Sony A80K 77" OLED. Considering the huge price difference would I be happy with the Sony X90K for gaming and 4k movies
9 months later and I can get a new Hisense 65 inch for $800, but the Sony is still $1200. I was going to get the Sony originally, but knowing I can pick up this for $400 less feels like a no brainer.
Yeah, the screen is brighter and the motion blur on one or two of your examples. It was definitely smoother on the high sense, but I genuinely feel like an almost every scene and photo that we saw on that screen. The Sony was more accurate and looked better. Even at the end with the bonus photos of the black guy, the high sense was so freaking bright that the black was shining but the background on the Sony was pitch black. It was beautiful.
My Sony 930e just broke. I bought this Hisense U8H as result of this video. It was a mistake. I spent 40 minutes trying 150 different setting or tv viewing themes trying to get this to look good. In the end in my opionion the Samsung or Lg Mid leval tvs are better then this Hisense high end tv. I am returning this Hisense before I accidently break it!

Why Sony have flickering on 5:18 9:57 10:20 ?
Also, what you think best budget mid-range tv 50 inch?
Nice vid. Is it true the uk panel of the Hisense is inferior? Also is the upscaling better on the Sony?

Whichever ones that’ll last me 10 years
In EU Hisense is crap! Therefore Sony X90K
I have an 65" size Sony X90K and am not disappointed. I find it is a good purchase if you want adequate quality at an affordable price.
People having color banding problems with the Hisence U8H .i am looking a new TV around this price,,
No matter which one you buy, get in your home, without another TV next to it, you will love it !!!!, had the same dilemma when I bought my plasma, but one home !!!, that was 11 yrs ago !!!!
Good review! So if you wall mount the U8H, will the mounting plate block the subwoofer in the back?
I highly recommend the Sony over the Hisense. As you can see in this video color accuracy is way better on the Sony and there are settings that you can adjust to reduce the blooming and motion blur. I wish I could see a comparison to this Hisense with tweaked settings on the Sony.
7:47 just look at the deer on right , sony shows its capabilities here
The colour of deer feather seems proper in sony and complete
Is there a way to turn the warm feature down or make it a bit less warm on u8h?
I just bought the U8H because of all the awesome reviews Im seeing from everyone . plus there putting this against oled even which is crazy and it still holds its own . and for the price you just cant beat it. you get some much tv on the u8h for way cheaper .
Can you help between Hisense A7G vs U8H? I don't know which to buy.

Za pół tego co kosztuje sony wybieram hisense napewno warto.Jeżeli ktoś ma wiecej pieniędzy na tv wybiera sony.

Why did you omit the best point of hisense? hisense supports multiple HDR, being these HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG, Sony just support Dolby Vision.
Definitely the hisense U8H is the best.
Sony bravia is the best video quality . Hisense is a Chinese brand , no quality guarantee . Chinese product is horrible sometime .
how about sony x75k?
Yeah, the screen is brighter and the motion blur on one or two of your examples. X90K not so good as X90J and the X90L are.
What is the difference between u8hq and u8h?
0:19 Yes, yes it does. Can tell u that within 19 seconds.
