Picture quality

The U75QG produced a brighter and more saturated image that may appeal to shoppers who prefer extra visual punch, but some bright scenes looked less detailed. Both TVs delivered convincing black backgrounds and effective local dimming. During the custom blooming test, the TCL showed clearly less haloing around bright objects. Mild dirty-screen artifacts were visible on both comparison units in different areas, but this observation should not be treated as representative of every unit.
HDR performance
With both TVs placed in Filmmaker Mode and their HDR brightness controls at maximum, the TCL displayed stronger highlight detail in hair and bright background areas.
