When looking to purchase another tv was looking at these two. I opted for the 48 inch c2 for the bedroom. I currently have a sony xh90 65 inch for the main living room tv and the picture is fanatastic for the money. I paid £900 gbp 2 years ago at 2021 boxing day sales. I only opted for the FALD tv because of the kids as they like to pause the tv leave it running and tend to watch a alot content with static imagery. Plus the living room is really bright and tv is mostly used during day light hours. But LG OLED could replace the Sony in the next few years. OLED tvs are the real future, the almost perfect panel. The other tech, though some are fantastic, i feel are there just to fill in the gabs of not being able to purchase a OLED i.e budget, kids, type of usage etc. 75 in oled in the living room 😍
This is an easy decision if you're sensitive to PWM flicker (which apparently I am!). I had to return my 75" QN90B as it was uncomfortable to watch due to PWM flicker that fatigued my eyes after only 15 minutes. The worst part is that it's not visible, you just notice your eyes feeling dry and have to blink often. Terrible experience, so beware buying Samsung QLED TVs without spending half an hour watching it to ensure you're not bothered by the flicker. Otherwise just buy an OLED or SONY LCD TV.
QN90B is better. The sound is high quality compared to the poor sound of LG C2. More than 2000 peak brightness for QN90B against 800 peak brightness for LG C2. Infinite contrast on LG C2 is at the level of the Samsung contrast in « dark mode ». That’s why Samsung TVs are amazing. They managed to have almost same level contrast against infinite contrast. Unbelievable.
I like how you adjusted brightness on the Samsung. This allows us to truly compare the color and picture quality without being fooled by high brightness. We all know miniLED is much brighter than OLED. What we don't typically see in reviews is how much richer the OLED is, making the Neo QLED look washed out in comparison. This wouldn't come off well on camera if you had the QLED brightness maxed out. This made it a more fair fight in my opinion.
I'm not so crazy about HDR and having the TV be very bright so the LG is an easy pick for me since it wins in nearly everything else compared to the Samsung
If I can give a bit of constructive criticism. This is the 7th review I watch comparing this 2 tvs, since I’m currently deciding which one of them to buy. And this one is the only one where the difference was monumental. In this video the Oled looks much much much better than the Samsung , like if this video eas the only one out there , I would have instantly discarded the Samsung.
Turning brightness down to 0 really gutted the Samsungs contrast , wich was one of the best things it had going for it.
In the other reviews I saw.
I was feeling okay so daylight landscapes , like for example nature documentaries (which I love) definitely look better in the Samsung. Reds and greens pop out more , it’s beautiful. However dark scenes , like a bonfire in the night , looks quite better on the OLED due to those unmatched deep blacks.
However… Based on what I was seeing in other YouTube reviews I was starting to lean towards the Samsung , since it’s blacks although not as good as the ones on an OLED , where really impressive , mini led is impressive gets respectfully close to what OLED does. However on a bright room filled with windows , and lots of sunshine , like the one where my tv is , the Samsung brightness would make the tv a much better suit.
Had I only watched this review , based on what my eyes saw during it.
I would be like damn , that Samsung looks bad , it looks dull , it has terrible viewing angles. It’s not even worth half of that OLED.
If I can give and advice. If you can’t record them together leaving the Samsungs brightness untouched. Then record them separately, and edit them together. But seriously handicapping one of the 2 tvs , for recording purposes , seriously damages how one of the 2 looked.
Like I said 3 times already.
If this was the only review on YouTube . I would have though the QN90B it’s an utter piece of crap. And based on the other review I know it really isn’t
Samsung is best option specifically for gaming. 1. Samsung Nits around max 2000 but LG c2 evo 800 2. Samsung HDR 10 + but LG c2 probably just HDR 10 3. For gaming samsung offer 144 hz but LG c2 120hz 4. Samsung latency at 10.1ms – faster than the LG C2 (13.1ms) 5. Most important : Samsung and you never worry about burn screen
I currently have an LG UQ9000 65" but for living room use I'd probably have to go with the Samsung for the best use in a living room if that's the case between it & the C2.
I had to replace my bedroom Samsung 55” JS8500 a couple of months ago because of the edge light burn in that kept creeping in from both sides. I accidentally walked out of a BB outlet store with a Sony 65” A90J for about $1800 after taxes. I couldn’t pass up the deal and now it’s hard to watch a regular LED at times
I got the 43 qn90b as a computer monitor. On sale on prime day for a killer deal. Really good choice for that. No burn in risk and one of the best displays around
I had the QE43QN90B and it was way too bright for my liking. Viewing angles were garbage aswell. You had to look head on to get a good picture. Moving slightly to the left or right and you will notice the image deteriorating quickly. It got damaged and I've now bought the C3. Look forward to unboxing it.
Wow you lowered the Samsung brightness to ZERO(!) to match the LG. Thats my problem with OLED – looks like the midrange of light is gone – it has only the power to light the smaller areas of highlights – and it gives there fore a "fake" high contrast look.

Qn90b wins for me , I like maximum luminance and overall light on the qn90b , tried both side by side … plus the Qn90b has zero risk of burn ins

Compare test LG 42 c2 vs Sony 42 a90k
do not get the qn90b unless you want a ton of blooming, especially in black bars

Which one is best for gaming??
The OLED may be a little better based on the usual criteria. But is it $1500 better (85" Samsung vs 83" LG) not in my opinion.
Best TV versus chanel, thanks for the guide Steve

🌳LG C2 OLED evo is best! 🌳
Plasma technology even today beat all in SDR in terma of color accuracy and picture movement
Just buy both !!!! Damn u guys get Neo Qled and Oled one in each living room!! ✅ done problems solved lol
I just got the LG c2 and it’s amazing , great video as always !!!!

Micro-led is the future. Oled is too dark.
Weird testing, like they said before . Lower it to 0 and de oled to full brightnes.
Don’t test cars plz !😂

Those TVs are made using different technologies, how does this fact affect the overall comparison?
Hey steve my hudget is 800 dollars and need a tv for my ps5.Help me?

The blooming on the Samsung is almost unwatchable IMO…motion is actually better and brightness but that blooming is a deal breaker
