65x77k or 55x80l? Cant decide between the two, i play ps5 which makes the 80l more appealing but in my country the 65x77k is cheaper and bigger! Insane..please help
I think they need to catch up to Samsung in the more budget friendly department. I tried the x80k last year and returned it the same day, I was pretty unimpressed. Colors were good straight on but everything else looked terrible, and the latency for gaming was only good in game mode but in game mode I couldn’t adjust most of the picture settings I wanted to
could you share your settings for the TV? I am trying to tweak so that I can get the best picture quality possible, but I am not sure if I am doing it right
Hi Steve, thanks for the reviews on budget TVs. What is the final decision if you were to buy a budget tv? In other words what's the best bang for the buck in a 55" TV? I bought a Hisense A65 55" and cannot get a clear picture like it looked at Costco.
1:20 Sorry, I'm not that tech savvy…you're saying it's only a 4k picture if it's connected directly to the modem? I also have a 43" Bravia 4k UR3…would that be the same scenario? I want to replace an LG 43NANO75UQA.ACC that I absolutely HATE. Soooo slow, that stupid pointer with the remote, and a viewing angle of about 5º…worst TV I have ever owned.
I'm one of those who still appreciate this models. I decided to upgrade from an 11 year old LCD. Although, I'm planning to still use it depending of the repairing costs because it is a 3D and not going to throw it in the trash if I can avoid it.
Thanks for the review. I'm picking up a 43" for $600 Canadian on Amazon. This compares to LG UHD at $450 and Samsung at $500. Both those are probably "better", but killer for me at this price point is the Sony will have more than good enough picture and is Android based, plus supports Apple Airplay. About the only app I subscribe to and want to add is MotoGP, which is not available for either the LG or the Samsung, so I would be in another $50 and another remote to juggle to add a Roku if I went LG/Samson. All in all, the Sony looks like a good deal.
Horrible 24p judder/motion on this model, only possible to hide it if you engage soap opera effect. Very poor SD deinterlacing (might not be a issue for most people but the 24p thing will be). Otherwise a good TV. Probably best to spend the little extra for the 120Hz X85K which is nearly the same TV in every other way. Good sound for a TV.
Hey, just wondering if you think this tv would last more then two years lol, i have a RCA 55inch i beleive Roku tv and not even a year later there is lines across the screen and half the screen is back on start up for about T minutes. Also black screen on start up sometimes from the start. Thanks!
Once I did the upgrade from an older Bravia to this one ( 50" as I have a small apartment) and then did a receiver upgrade as well. The CEC option and using the HDMI arc/eARC it works really well. I turn on or off the tv using the tv remote and within about 4 seconds the receiver also turns on/off. Just wish the black remotes that come with the tvs were backlit somehow.
Thank you Steve I hit like and subscribe. As a person with an engineering background, I appreciate your thorough review. Thank you for creating a video for Budget TV models. I agree the LED and OLED TV's are nice but they are also very expensive. This TV for being an entry level TV is NOT BAD and Amazon has it on sale for $678. I just decided to pay a little bit more and get the Sony X85K for the following reasons. #1 it was on sale 20% off at Amazon for $800 and after taxes under $900. The Sony X77L after taxes was over $700 but here is what you get. 1-You get 120 HZ to start with vs 60 HZ 2-It is still considered on the budget tv level but this is what I would call a middle-of the road budget TV. Maybe for your next video, I have a suggestion, could you do a side-bi side comparison between these 3 models because they are very similar. The Sony Bravia 3, The Sony X77L and the Sony X 85K. Once you go beyond X85K, it becomes expensive. The next level up is an X90 K and that is about $300. You can go with an A80L OLED and those are about $2000 or you can go crazy and go with the A95 but I must warn you, the price tag is, WELL IT'S OFFENSIVE LOL $3000+ for a TV. Now here is the thing, TV's are no longer made OF THE SAME QUALITY AS BEFORE. Believe it or not the OLDER TV'S WERE MADE BETTER. I had a 2006 Sony TV that just recently crapped out on me, in 2023, after 17 years of use. My last TV I got was a 65" Sony XJ model it was an older 2022 model. Notice I said 2022, it died a week ago so TV's might be getting thinner and have better graphics but they are not as durable. If you are going to end up throwing your TV in the trash after 4-5 years, might as well get an entry level to an entry-middle of the road level TV. This way at least you are not throwing $2000,3000 in the trash or for the garbage man to recycle. Speaking of anyone want a Sony 65" TV lol it's free only thing is it doesn't work.
I just want to know something you failed to tell us. Is it pretty snappy with the control? i have a samsung from target budget was like 400$ and its super laggy. Like it takes forever to scroll thru apps and stuff. All im looking for in a tv is for it to be pretty quick with the remote.
Still have my bezzeless 55inch 3D Bravia from 2014. Extremely reliable. Great picture great everything. Looking for a 75 inch for the basement. I don't want to buy something and have to drive it back to the store and go through warranty process.
Hi I am on a low budget i want to buy x77L versus bravia 7 ? Is the 77L good quality for gaming and mivie still or should i get bravia 7 to get better Tv quality?

It's crazy how good the blacks are on this entry level LCD TV…
Thank you.

Picture looks good but so dark. Is there an option to make the TV briter?
I just bought this TV and figuring out how to mirror my Android phone to this? I don't seem to find an option

I'm in between this model and X80K, is near the same price, but I want a 43 and the store doesn't have 43 right now X80K

Is this better than the Hisense U7K? Or the Sony X80L?

Your videos are always helpful.
Any way to hook my old Bose speaker up to it ( RCA Jacks ?)

Does anybody know the knits of brightness on this tv?
Thanks for the review.

The pic is awful.
It’s a no for me.
Great review but I would include panel type and nits of peak brightness. Although you did mention that might be an ips panel.

You hav two reviews that are poler opposites? I'm confused. Is this TV good or not?
Hi, could you please make review on Sony X82L model.
Any advice into how to stop Google Tv OS writing folders into my USB when I plug it in? Thanks
Wot a decent review…!! Does 43” has an HDMI eARC feature??
@TechSteeve can you do review for panasonic LX650Z
@TechSteve at 7:40 you talked about PC. Are you connected via remote desktop connection, or screen mirroring?

Looks Like virtual surround just boosts the sound
$998 on Amazon for a 85inch 🤔

Hey Steve, the 85 inch is a VA panel. I confirmed today. I’m a sucker for IPS.
How it this set for sports, NHL, NFL? We live our XBR75-900F, i am comparing this for a tad more or a Hisense U68N Mini Uled
Thanks for the advice 😊
What’s the best music system for this tv
Good review for a basic TV that most people in a budget can appreciate as picture is primary in consideration.
Hook up to quality soundbar.. done.

Sony makes reliable TVs and everything else.
is it the same as x75wl?
TCL Q6 or Sony X77L?
Hi I am on a low budget i want to buy x77L versus bravia 7 ? Is the 77L good quality for gaming and mivie still or should i get bravia 7 to get better Tv quality?
What about comparing this to Samsung DU7200? Is Sony better because it has a better processor?
Is this called the X75WL in Europe and UK? I need to know for it being flicker free
I'm getting my first Sony tv Friday it's a X77L can't wait to play ps5 and watch movies
