Setting local dimming to low instead of medium is very bad for overall picture quality best setting for local dimming is medium or high if you prefer because blooming control over extra brightness and accuracy
Hi, can you answer this question about the bravia 7 and 9. Do you lose PQ settings in Game mode? Like contrast enhancer and black adjust? If so, that's upsetting as it was available in my 2021 x950h
If you're looking for a crystal-clear, yet natural-looking picture for all your content, these are my ideal settings. While some processes are enabled, they work exceptionally well and fully utilize the TV's capabilities without introducing any unnatural motion. Here are the settings: * Picture Mode: Professional * Brightness: Adjust to your preference (I use 7) * Gamma: 0 * Auto Local Dimming: * For SDR: High * For HDR: Medium * Peak Luminance: High for both SDR and HDR * Color Temperature: Expert 1 * Reality Creation: Manual, set to 20 (do not exceed 20) * Random Noise Reduction: Low * Digital Noise Reduction: Off * Smooth Gradation: Low * MotionFlow: Film Mode (CineMotion), set to High * Smoothness & Clearness: Custom, with all set to Minimum
If motion settings are different to the above then this could cause judder. For a ‘accurate’ (more grainy and less clear picture) then set reality creation and random noise reduction to off but these features are very well implemented with the above settings.
Just purchased my 65" bravia 7 last week. I have it set on Professional with brightness of 20. Netflix, Prime and Paramount+ are beautiful. Youtube tv seems kind of mediocre and not crisp on distance shots of sports. Is this normal?
I always adjusted the color by skin tone. I like a tv that looks as natural and realistic as I can get. If I can get the skin tone right, everything else seems to fall in place.
When i use the calman app for hdmi3, it doesnt recognize my sky q sattelite box as an input. I have this passed through my samsung k950 soundbar. Will i be have to get a Sony soundbar to be able to see the image on hdmi3 on the calman app?
I hate my x85k. I've tried all settings. Looks like a cheap lcd screen from the 90s. I saw a bush tv display in the barbers the other day and the screen was more vivid and eye catching. Far too pricey for the quality. Samsung rules not sony. I can load up the imax pro I've tried a few times.
Try these setting and let me know what you think
