For a video that says Black Friday prices, you don’t really seem to be sure if many of the TVs you show are in fact, the Black Friday prices! 🙄🤨🤦♂️🤷♂️
I grabbed a 83” C5 over an 83” G4 because of a variety of factors & findings.
Only fear now is if I’m going to miss out on picture (pop) dimensionality, but reviews have shown that the C5 is actually super close to G5 in real world brightness & processing, and bests it in color volume.
I feel better after Brian (Tech Therapy) talked me off of a fomo cliff.
Not every OLED is the same, especially considering the cheaper Samsung 84 models that are on sale. It’s important to know these TVs are great if you’re in a very dark room, but if you’re planning on putting one of these cheaper OLED in a bright family room I would strongly recommend not buying this..
I bought the B5 last weekend because it was a door buster. I had some Certs and I got it open box excellent for like total out of my pocket was 250 after my Certs. I had it running next to my G5 for two days just playing around with it. It’s amazing. At night with the lights off it is super bright and beautiful. Yes I can see the difference between my G5 and the B5 but honestly, it’s a great TV
I would like your opinion on the Samsung S90F 42 vs the LG C5 42. I know in the larger sizes it QD-OLED vs W but in the 42 it WOLED vs WOLED. My question is which is better to use as a work monitor with some use as TV for movie night. Thanks!
I wonder if the extra $100 is worth it for the Bravia 8 vs Bravia XR8B. The only meaningful difference I found was some contrast booster on the Bravia 8, but I haven't found any info on how useful it is.
KG, recently bought A95L 65” due to sale price over Bravia 8ii. Now Bravia 8ii price dropped is it worth exchanging A95L within return period for Bravia 8ii? Streaming & Blu ray sdr and hdr use mostly. Thanks 😊
I want an OLED under 55 inches for gaming. Which would you say are the best OLED tvs for single-player gaming? I dont play competitive so super high Hz doesn't matter to me. I mostly play RPG, Single player story, action games.
Hey KG, I know that Costco & Sam’s have the S85FD as their model-equivalent for the S85F. Not sure if the Best Buy version is an exact copy like they are, but in the 55” & 65” of the S85F & S85FD Samsung uses a QD-OLED panel. Do you know for sure that the S84 is different and not just the Best Buy, non price-matchable version, cause $899 would be a STEAL for a 65” QD-OLED. (And you know how I feel about QD-OLED😂🙄)
Also, I know you and I have gone back-and-forth on the whole LCD versus OLED/QD-OLED thing.😂 and maybe I have a fundamental misunderstanding, but isn’t SDR content stretched to the brightness that your TV is set at and capable of rather than compressed for accuracy like in HDR? So wouldn’t the tremendous increases in SDR brightness really help people who watch sports & other SDR content in bright rooms?
I bought a 65” a95l when priced dropped to complete warranty replacement on older a8h. Now that Bravia 8ii is priced lower should I exchange a95l for Bravia 8ii? Both seem to have benefits over each. Have few weeks to decide on a95l.
You're right these mini LEDs are over priced I was looking a few weeks ago and I swear the 75" TCL and Hisense Qm8 and u8 were like $1000 $1200 at most now they're up to 1400. Like you said might as well get the budget oled at that same price
Don't buy a Samsung QDOLED unless you know and don't care about some major caveats that come with these TV's, specially for gaming. One of the many bad things about these TV's is that Samsung loves to destroy them with firmware updates that will download automatically even after you tell the tv not to. Another detail is that there isn't a proper HGIG implementation and nobody even knows how many nits to set it up, you will find many different numbers from experts that can range from a couple hundred nits below the actual peak brightness of the tv, to double the nits, and everyone is always sure that their numbers are the right ones. Also, the tv uses the P3 color space when in "HGIG" only because BT2020 is so bad, it's unusable without a professional calibration. So basically the 90% BT2020 coverage of these QDOLEDs is useless for gaming. Another problem is that every year Samsung comes up with a new bug and there is no way of knowing what it is (such as the color space bug for the 2025 models). If you are looking for a tv that will just work and you won't have to dig through forums to find how to fix it, then sadly you must look elsewhere.
Great content, very helpful, and we are trying to decide between the Samsung 65" S84F or Samsung – 55” Class S90F. Therefore, are these models considered to be premium (mid-range) OR more-so entry level models? It appears, 'The Samsung S84F OLED TV sits at the very bottom of Samsung's OLED lineup, which maybe okay for many.
I picked up a Panasonic z85 65-in OLED TV for 900 bucks. Absolutely beautiful TV. I do have it in a dark room. So gorgeous for gaming and watching movies and TV shows and sports
What do you think for the A95L 77" going down to $3800? Not worth in 2025? Seems like the G5 still has way too many problems.

I'm getting the G5 or G6 at 65 for my bedroom. Already got the G4 83in and it's freaking great !
Use Samsung direct link above: Veterans/Military – I got a $525 discount; total price of $2,975 for a 77" S95F
Thanks
77 CX vs 77C5/S90F for UHD movies a worthwhile difference in brightness/tone mapping/color or would you need a G5/S95F? What about a 77CX vs 83C5?

So for a 65-inch TV, give me your top two for middle-of-the-road and then the next step up.

Keep talking about OLEDs bro. I can hear those reviews all day 😎 📺
