Thanks for the effort, but wouldn't it make more sense to compare TV sets of the same size? I think most of us know what kind of size they want. I'm looking for a 43" TV for movies and occasional gaming, I just can't decide between Samsung VA or LG IPS. I'm leaning towards Samsung for better contrast and deeper blacks. No pun intended haha

I went with the Samsung 8000 and now of course I'm at home with it still in the box wondering of I should have forked over the extra 150bucks to get the Q60! What's your advice?? I keep hearing the 8000 has pitiful brightness. Thanks and keep up the great work!
On the contrary, its an excellent comprehensive & very helpful outline briefing for my new-bought TV, "made/conducted " by the gentelman,in a simple way
I tried both LG TVs 2020 and the 2021 build a find I'm hard of hearing in the pointer controls do not work it's like a software glitch with LG's closed captioning it's kind of bothersome to have the closed captioning right in the middle of the picture at Best Buy they're higher Nano TVs the pointer actually works I have tried this two LG TVs un65 and the 7000-series that I bought pointer control just does not work you would not know it unless you are hard-of-hearing most people do not turn on the closed captioning it works fine on Netflix because that has its own closed captioning and other streaming services it is just the free live TV channels that use digital closed-captioning you cannot send her the closed captioning where you want it pointer Control software glitch

What TV would you buy? BTW, I miss spoke the Samsung is also a VA panel with led back lights.

I don't game and don't really care about features. I basically just plug in my firestick and watch content from that.
What I do care about is, nice black levels, crispy sharp image, good accurate color and a really nice experience without too much hassle or glitches.
Usage. Movies mostly

I have a older LG and I am able to turn the screen display off while listening to music is that still a feature available?
