Lastly, Im planning to use the USB Port to watch movies from my HDD. Does it have a pre-installed media player that can support .mkv video files?

Alright Steve I was beating myself up trying to figure out what had happened to my phone and TCL ROKU Because they had previously not a problem the cash to I had it hooked up and thought I was good to go but I have run through everything I can think of what you said and I got it to hook up to home again HomeKit and everything and it’s giving me a hell of a time to require the code and I’m just I’m not getting the AirPlay at all?
I have a Roku TCL and have gotten the latest update. I’ve done the wifi thing, and tried screen mirroring, and nothings working. I can’t seem to find the Airplay section of my TV, and am desperately searching the internet. any help?
Damn no youtuber is showing me what i wanna see or what my issue is. Yea basic mirroring works but what about going to safari and wanna stream a movie or something. On mine it doesn’t do it it just flickers and goes back to the the airplay set up screen. And on my phone showes the time is running and its working but my tv just sits on airplay setup display🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Mine says make sure router is plugged in, on and TV is connected to network. I live in an apartment and do not have a wifi router; will this still work without one?
how bad really is the latency? I would like to use something like this for my pc monitor to use it as a secondary screen for my MacBook without a cable. It would mainly be for watching videos or just seeing a website on a bigger screen

It’s not required to setup HomeKit in order to use Airplay right?
In the moment that I pick add a device the home app finds the tv, but it’s says that it can’t connect any advice?

I have 10.0 but I still don’t have apple AirPlay and HomeKit 2 why does this happen?
