Great review. This gives me options other than a wall mounted LED panel.
Watching you playing with the equalizer reminds me being a kid with the stereo😅 putting that V formation into the EQ😅.
I purchased this on indiegogo months ago. Best laser projector I've ever owned. Don't know if I pay the price if they're asking for now but it's nice.
Of course covering a myriad of products is essential to tech based channels. So is accuracy in descriptions and recommendations. Most people will benefit from the (AWOL LTV 3500) in description because they searched for it. None will benefit from the "The Ultimate Brightest 4K HDR 150” UST Home Theater Laser Projector" misleading them away from the Epson LS800 which is far superior and $1800(US) cheaper. Though you can never future proof a title/description for tech advancement of the future, you can however not make a claim with current products that are untrue.
The Epson LS 800 is 4000 nits. It is the ultimate brightness
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great review , but best thing to start with is price , so people can compare it
to lg and Samsung projectors as far as price and features.
awesome Steve ❤ when are you shipping it to me😮😮😊😊
Hi Steve why no one Earth has Reviewed Q70 B samsung 😢
Great review. I just purchased a 2500 and love it. It puts out PLENTY of brightness for your average living room.
Is 3500 ANSI Lumen? It looks as good as the aura.
Day Steve you are really busting out the videos my brotha.
The screen that you're using is it ALR I want to see how well it rejects light from Top and side of the screen
Great video. This looks promising, especially with the low 4k latency. 1080p safemode kinda makes a projector company seem sus for not getting it right in the appropriate resolution. 1080p projectos are 80 bucks on amazon. Also lumens, 3500 is a nice step forward, but it should be doing more for a really vibrant 150' image, so 5500 lumens would be more suitable. This is not expensive, can get a really nice 4k lumen pocket size flashlight for $50, and it has 50, 000 hour bulb life. I am curious to see how other companies like formovie respond to this. You know what you must do haha. Also now sure if it was in your vid, but fan noise and lazer whine would benefit from a way to measure it. Fan noise will be an issue for gaming, most 4k rigs will needs some cooling, so noise can add up fast
Will it be as good while watching on a 150 screen?
Steve, can you review the EPSON LS800 and compare it to this AWOL 3500?
Does this projector upscale regular bluray to UHD? Or is a separate scaler needed to get the higher resolution?
The 3D on this is amazing. It's like being at the theater with great 3d.
interested to see This projector compared to UST in 2025. Hopefully they make big upgrades.
0:18 It's 3,500 ANSI Lumens which is not the same thing as 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
Cool, instead of being $10,000 in debt, I will be only in $5000 in debt.😩
"And as you can see here, as soon as you turn on this setting that you should never turn on, you see why, as the characters immediately have artifacts as a result of trying to interpolate frames that aren't actually there"
“3500 nits” … really? “Tech” Steve…
Would like to share an update on my 1st month experience with both the AWOL 3500, and 120 Vividstorm floor rising screen. It looks really good however, I'm having a nightmare trying to get all corners lined up. (At times, I feel like giving up and just using my wall)
I do have both the screen and projector on the floor (Carpet) and maybe that's the issue here. Any provided advice and/or suggestions are welcome. I'm unsure about getting a stand as my loveseat sits low to the floor as I don't want to be in a situation where I'm having to look up.
Very impressive. The 3D is the main selling point
i bought one of these. i was so excited until i fired it up. the rgb lasers do not converge so everything has a red outline on one side and a green on the other side. b/w movies are all but watchable. i may have to return it. what a pain, not a light one
Great review, Steve, but you missed out the most important part: 3D! Sure, you mentioned it but you didn't go into the specs. All 3D projectors, I assume, will do Bluray 3D (frame packing) but what about Side By Side, or Top And Bottom or Field Sequential? It simply isn't enough to say it does 3D. We 3D fanatics want to know the itsy bitsy details!
Can I get an idea from you?
Which of the UST projectors has the highest image quality (must provide 3D image and 150 inch image, must be HDR10+)
There is also a AWOL LTV 3000 pro now. Considerably less on the pocket book. Same features just less Lumens.
How is the black levels?
Hey I just bought the ltv 3000, I'm wondering how far under the screen does the projector need to sit? I'm not sure if my current entertainment center will work or not. I have a 120" screen
Did you test this with any non 4k movie content eg: regular YouTube, SD stuff, 720p/ 1080p rips? I assume a projector has no upscaling process like a TV, I'm worried that regular non native content at that size will look like a soft blocky mess.
It’s 2025 but, Do I need to update a firmware & how many for this old 3500 Model vs the PRO ?? I love 3D that’s why I bought this one it’s on clearance vs the pro model what do I need to do for the Dolby Vison for upgrade???? Thx 🙏
