Hi Steve , thanks for the video 👍 !! I never heard of that ?? So can you record all shows , or just the ' over the air ' shows ? Either way it seems like a great little device . Whoa!!!! Awesome information Steve!! I was looking for a DVR without a monthly subscription!!! I was so weary of paying Xfinity exorbitant prices every month!!!! I’m going to pick this antenna up tomorrow so that when my 65 inch Vizio shows up on Tuesday I’ll be all set. Wow 12 hours ago. Hopefully I’ll catch you live sooner than later. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
They do not honor their 1 year warranty.:( My old 2nd gen quad died so I bought the 4th gen 2 tuner version in April 2024. The WiFi part died after just 3 months. I have been struggling with them since then to try to get them to send me a RMA number per their website published policy covering the 1 year warranty. They keep answering with email messages that are illogical and poorly composed and keep saying that the return period has passed. It appears to me that this new company is in trouble and not able to handle normal support issues and/or having problems with many returned defective devices by playing dumb. I used a WiFi extender to make the connection to the Tablo's hardwired port – that works. I am also disappointed with the tuner sensitivity – it seems weaker than the old unit. Bottom line: I cannot recommend Tablo from this new company.
Samsung App is HORRIBLE! Tablo hasn’t fixed all the problems on this app: Tablo APP hangs up every time you leave and you have to restart TV! Favorites don’t work! Extremely slow1. Can’t start a show from beginning while it’s recording! VERY BAD APP on SAMSUNG TV. 4th Gen Tablo. No response from Tablo on complaints
I’ve had a 4th gen 4 tuner TABLO for about a month. It was slightly confusing to set up, but since then no problems at all. As others have reported, there’s sometimes a buffering issue, but the better your service, the fewer buffering issues you’ll have. We use Verizon 5G internet and have few problems. We’re getting rid of Yahoo TV because they’ve just become too expensive, even for their lower tier service.

I wonder if you can use a VPN to access the DVR files on the LAN.

Would i still need the Tablo app if Geek Squad sets up Tablo? I keep hearing about bad experiences with Samsung phones.

So you have to have Ethernet to use?
It's junk. It fails all the time. Guide data is borked. Do not buy.
Nice review. I got mine and I'm loving it so far. Very nice to view and record local channels without a subscription, like in the VCR days.
TABLO IS GARBAGE! DONT BUY THIS SCAM OF A DVR!!!!!!!
