I bought a 65" TV. I didn't want to spend $100+ on a media rack so I looked around at thrift stores and Craigslist. I couldn't find the right size so I settled on getting a 47" (10" smaller than TV) wide stand for $8. I know a smaller stand is not recommended but I care more about saving money than aeshetics.
Hi Steve, do you know if Perlesmith still makes that version? From wall to the edge, my mantel suits a 9 inch stand. Im sure a "9.5" would work, but it seems they've gone up to (10.2 depth) with their newer models.
Can you use this and adjust it to where the TV is all the way against the bottom? We have a TV who's legs add too much height, looking for something that is almost flush with the bottom.

I Steve I have a55” samsung4k crystal uhd tv but I looked on the Bach of the tv and there are 4 holes but the bracket I bought the screws did not fit please can you help thanks

Some advice to save others from the same frustration…save all the extra bolts that come with the stand. I purchased a new TV and realized I had thrown out the extra bolts, and the ones I had used to attach the old TV to the stand weren't the right size for the new TV. Had to order the correct sized bolts from Amazon (a set of various sizes). Lesson learned.

My SIL just put mine together and mounted my 55 in Vizio on it. I bought the TV second hand and it came without the original “legs”. Perfect solution and looks so very nice! I used Perlesmith brand!
Great explanation. My question is I would like to purchase a floor stand for my 55” TV. It’s 18” tall and I need it to stand 54” off the ground to the middle of the TV. (68” to the top, my bed is very high off the ground)) I’m having a problem finding a stand. The stand will be behind a 36” tall furniture. Any suggestions?
5 years later and I have bought this exact same base. I always preferred TV models with center stands but nowadays it seems everybody is wall mounting or getting TV cabinets 🤔 Anywho, great video Steve!

I've got this but I'm afraid to use it bc I'm afraid the whole thing will tip over. Is that legit or are these stronger than my fear lol

How far back from the front of the base does the tv sit?
This does not work on the 55" LG. The back of the TV doesn't have the four places on the back for the screws.

I just bought this for my new 43” Roku tv and it works great love the stand and love my new tv even more than my 3 year old 50” Samsung
