Got the U7K and it's decent for the price. Prob with hisense tvs is every review for models last few years they always over brighter the tracking curve in HDR and you have to lower the peak brightness to medium get decent contrast which means you loose the high peak brightness you pay for
This is a great video. The best way to compare 2 tvs …… Is put em right next to each other. For whatever reason most reviewers just never do this. Its clear the u7n is an upgrade but not really a huge upgrade. I wish we coulda saw standard mode which is what most people use and vivid mode….. Because dang it i love vivid(even though most hate it)
Im sorry i don't think I'll buy another hisense. I've had three recent models. U8h 75 inch, u6h 55 inch and u8k 55 inch. The u6h was glitchy as hell. Constantly had to restart it. Then the wifi stopped working. I got rid of it for an lg c4. My 75 inch u8h has started to have fading on the screen. Picture is now washed out. There is also a big purple hue in the center of the screen. I plan on swapping that out mid year. Trying to hold out for the 2025 models from other brands. The 55 inch u8k is overall good. But yesterday i literally had my first hic up. The Google tv operating system just randomly froze and i had to restart the tv. I'll be looking at sony, lg and Samsung when I replace the other hisense tvs. That's why the big three are more expensive. As they say, you get what you pay for.
Hello Steve, can you get your hands on TESLA brand TV's from europe that Caleb from Digital Trends talk about today. There is no review of their new OLED 949GUS TV on YT yet. I know there is some scam going on with Musk and TESLA branded tv's' in US but i also know that is in general "budget friendly" brand in EU-
I have the U7N 65" , here's my "review": – Local Dimming settings all seem to be bad, only OFF or HIGH change the picture in a positive way. – Subtitles and text get very dim/discolored with Local Dimming ON like most TVs with it – Gaming with Local Dimming OFF changes the panel response time and there's extreme pixel smearing and blur – It keeps changing the picture mode randomly even with all auto settings, AI and intelligent modes OFF – HDR has very slow response time and smearing, specially gaming – SDR with HIGH Local Dimming and Peak Brightness OFF gives the best blooming control and response time so to me HDR is useless on this TV – Sometime when the scene changes rapidly the Local Dimming processing can't keep up and you see with the naked eye. when it changes the picture. – If my panel wasn't so clean (no DSE even with extreme tests) I would return it because it's basically an SDR TV if you are sensitive to blur/smearing/red smearing
Hi I just purchased the 75” Samsung DU8000. It tuned out to have an lcd screen white cloudiness on the corners defect I was going to get a replacement but I’m considering returning it and getting this Hisense U7K instead. What would you recommend?
Hi, I am from India. Loved your videos. I am confused between buying u6n pro and u7k, u7k is approx 100$ costly here. But is it worth buying 2 year old u7k and for 100$ extra? Yes i use PS5 so please suggest according to this… Thankssss
Why were you using free sync on u7k on ps5? There is no fresync support on ps5. Just hdmi level basic vrr. Toggling fresync messes up with the brightness and hdr picture
There was also a fir ware for the u7k before this video came out that changed the UI to be like the u7n. It also added the peak brightness setting. Its weird you compared the tv but kept the u7k without the latest firmware. It seems like a missed opportunity imo.
The U7N may look better overall, but the u7K is a better value. I bought a u7K 55” for around $479.99 and I still use it for gaming and movies. Haven’t seen a better tv for less rhan $500. I also have a u76n 100” for my living room that my family loves. It doesn’t have mini led tech but the local dimming does a great job with the black levels.
My Hisense U7N has black vertical lines after 4 months of purchase I was contacted today saying there not going to fix it because of a picture I sent and they told me it was broken on the inside of the TV from just a picture! What’s joke and horrible customer service and a horrible TV!
