I was planning to get the 55TU8000K, but I wanted a 4K TV, do you think the resolution and picture quality is similar, as they have not mentioned it as 4K
I got this tv last year for my PS5 only to discover that I need HDMI 2.1 to take full advantage of the PS5. This tv only has HDMI 2.0 therefore HDR on PS5 and Apple TV 4K looks “washed out” and 4K Blu rays and standard Blu rays look identical. Is there a special setting I’m missing to make the picture in HDR mode to look good?? Or do I need to get a TV with HDMI 2.1??
Will the keypad, on an older Samsung remote, or a universal remote, work on this TV? To go straight to a specific channel, rather than up & down on the button? I don't care about the voice functions.

Have a cable schedule that shows all the cable tv channels but none of these are in sync with what shows up on the tv. CBS, for example is channel 522 on cable but channel 3 on the tv.
Is there films screen coverage, like screen protectors covering the Samsung tu8000 that need to be removed cos I'm seeing something like that on my screen?
Rubbish I had mine 18 months and then it started flickering then just died, the panel was flicking for a week or so then just went blank. After doing a bit of research and looking at reviews there was a lot of ppl who had the same issues and said it was the panel apparently its just cheap components like in no brand tv's it just has the name and a few additional specs a lot of ppl said it happened before 18 months mine was just sjy of 2 years, it is a budget TV and cost £429… Still two years is awful my old TV was over 10 years old and was a JVC and it still goes its only 42 inch and old school 1080i LED.. I understand this is the Samsung lower model but I'd expect at least 5 years before it screws up. I mean who has the cash to replace their TV every two years and thinks that is acceptable? Maybe it was just mine but there was a hell of a lot of people who also had the same problem, guys just be careful I think some of these new generation tv's are not build to last at all
DO NOT BUY THIS TV!!! Check Samsung's community oage; there are hundreds of complaints about this TV model going into bootloops less than 2 years after purchase. Dont make the same mistake I did in purchasing this TV. Samsung will not repair outside of the 1 year warranty, and of course all of them seem to be dying around the 2 year mark.
Frankly I too regret purchasing this TV it died about 20 months. Just one day started to restart every 20+ secs and with distorted screen. Apparantly I am not alone and this problem is typical of Samsung TV. Seems they use sub-par components..This TV is really a trash! Boycott every Samsung product. pfff.
