Unfortunately, like the Hisense U8/U8K, the TV's response time behaves differently with VRR enabled. It's more aggressive with refresh rates above 100Hz, which leads to a faster response time but with more overshoot errors. When the TV hovers around 100Hz, the rapid changes in behavior when it goes above and below that threshold are distracting. There are no issues when running at a fixed refresh rate.
I have the U8G, and I still Fire Up some of those 4K, 8K, and 12K OLED Demo's for Fun and it STILL Impresses the Hell outta me… I can only Imagine what these 2 Look Like…
I have a hisense U8 when I can get it to work it has an amazing picture.
The major problem with hisense and Sony is. Google.
The google os is absolutely terrible hate it! Don’t like google enough to even tolerate this awful OS.
Its slow sluggish and the screen freeze on the home screen is ridiculous! If I don’t make a selection in seconds am not making any selections the screen froze.
Turns off randomly while watching, turns on randomly when not watching.
If I can past the screen freeze the picture and sound quality are excellent
We are trying to decide to get either the 65 inch TCL QM8 or the Hisense U88N, heard some Hisense TVs has some issues. So, which set is better in regards to longevity, and manufacturing parts. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.😀
Hey Steve! Question I’m in the fence with the u8n and the Lg C4 I’m a big movie watcher but the price difference is nice between these! What’s your thoughts on mini led vs oled?
I have the 55" U88KM "Canadian name" of the U8K, I love the TV, but there are issues. Example, when watching a movie with the black bars, and no matter if the movie is on SDR, HDR or Dolby Vision the bars are not totally black. And there are a bug where when I change from example my PS5 to the internal Youtube app from the TV the contrast get bugged and all the image look washed, and the black lifted, I have to restart the TV and then the problem is fixed. They have launch a lot of updates but the bug is still there.
Steve, your reviews make me want to buy all the TVs you have reviews for, even the low-spec ones; you make them sound amazing. My Dilemma is that I need a 75-inch TV for my bathroom, and my wife loves to watch her shows before bed. The room is very dark, and I want a TV that does not break the bank, but we can enjoy it for years. I myself am a gamer, and the TV needs to be used for that as well. What's your best recommendation? My price range is from 1k to 2k tops. Also if I can have the latest and greatest it is a plus I know I am asking a lot..
I bought the 100" U8K last November on cyber Monday. I've had no complaints really so far. To me, if you've already got a U8K, it's not really necessary to upgrade to the U8N just to upgrade. Now if you're upgrading from an older TV and choosing between these two then it just depends. I haven't really looked so I don't know if they ever did a 100" for the U8N so if that's a sticking point then it's obvious. Other than that, I'd say go with the U8N if the deal is good. It's gonna have a better processor and once you calibrate it, the picture should be fantastic

Had a 65 U8H. Panel lasted just under 2 years. Warranty covered it fully. Getting my U8N tomorrow. Exited!
I can't find a physical power button on my U8N, is there one anywhere?
No one uses vivid mode and some of the colours on the more recent 8N look garish in comparison.

U8K is infinitely better, the U8N's colour accuracy is so far off

One thing i notice if i bought 55 inch is not full package i buy since the 65 inch is 3000 nits while the 55 Inch 1800 why?

I just got the u8n 85” can’t get the motion clarity figured out.any setting would be appreciated.
