Hi Steve i literally just bought this tv a week ago i got the 50 inch it's really good i like it a lot but I'm wondering if it would be worth upgrading to the Q6 do you know the differences and would it be worth spending the extra money for the Q6? I can exchanging the Q5 and just pay the difference for the Q6.
Steve just bought this Tv last Friday at for 299. Unboxed it and did all the intial updates now waiting for sound bar and will be mounting it soon. Looks like it willl meet my needs as a 4th Tv for just watching no gaming Thank you for the review !!!! Glad you are doing more budget TV’s.
HI Steve i left detailed question for you regarding the tcl 6 series video u did recently and I gues i did a external link so maybe it got erased. I Dont see anyone and I mean anyone doing reviews or talking differences between the normal q series tcl q651g vs the tv i have ( only on amazon I think) a 6 series q681g. So differences between the two ? According to tcl site compare sheet not Much but the 55Q681G i have says it has full arrary local dimming ( doesn't specify the amount and I'm sure it's nothing too substantial but I dunno) I don't have a game master setting on my tv but has everything like allm vrr 120 hz 1440p etc. U would make me very happy if u went to Amazon and got the 55Q681G and at least looked at it or got it and tested it for me . If I gotta pay I will. Need suggestions for calibration settings . Can't find anywhere. Thanks
Steve, how do you think this TV does dealing with low bitrate signals? I had a cheaper TCL 5 series a couple years back, and anything low bitrate (pretty much anything streaming) was so blocky in darker scenes it was unwatchable.
Steve, I have windows 11, a 65” Crystal Samsung tv. I was able to cast from my srrface 3 laptop, but now I’m unable to cast unless i inactivate my Norton antivirus. Can I cast without putting my system at risk by deactivating my antivirus?
Nice video! Just purchased the Q550F for my son but I noticed some movies are shown in full screen, but some shows (like SpongeBob) are not properly fitted to the screen? Any tips regarding that? Thanks!
Before buying tv, all of you need to to bestbuy or costco. Stand at the end of line of TVs that are on. Look at them. Then goto the Sony Oled. Then look back and forth between Sonys Oled and rest of the TVs. You are welcome.
Recently purchased a 55 inch s5 class and it seems to be stuck in sdr and cant find any information anywhere how to get it into hdr or uhd. Although it seems to have same os as this. Anyone have any ideas what it may be
Hi, Is there a way to turn off the ambient light sensor? , my tv is having brightness issues one day is super bright and super dim the next day, I turned off dynamic back light, but the issue persist.
The funny thing is that when i click the home button the brightness fixes itself as soon as i get to the home screen.
Would it be better to use the built in fire tv with the TCL or should I plug in and use my fire stick (4k) instead? Or is performance the same? Thank you!
Great video ! But I wanted to know if there’s a way to connect it to Google home. I have other tvs I have connected to Google home but I’m having a hard time connection this tv. Thanks for your help
Thank you for this review. I am being asked to pick one of these brand all 75” from either TCL 75Q550F, Toshiba 75C350LU TCL 75F35 after my Vizio V755XK04 is giving some trouble. I wish you could give me advice as to which of these three I should pick. I am looking at this TLC because it has fire tv already and that means I won’t need to buy a firestick. I still want your advice even if I end up picking the one you don’t recommend on time. Thank you for your time.

I just purchased the Hisense U6HF 65" off of Amazon just an hour ago.
Dolby vision looks amazing on the TV either it's bright or dark.
Once again i really don't uderstand how dirt cheap is this tv.
Cheapest 2024 EU model from TCL in 50" size is arround 450 EUR or $500.
Good Job Steve testing some cheaper TV's for lower budget viewers.
50" inch $199 on BestBuy so it might be the one this year
I wonder if the input lag was a bug. I've seen it as low as 11 ms for the Q550g and Q550F

How do I connect my Fire TV to my Alexa? I can only find directions for Google TV.
