Your lapel mic sounds pretty bad Steve, its very muffled and I can hear all your mouth sounds. This is on both my sound system + TV and with my headphones on mobile.
Thanks Steve , you mentioned ' bit-rate ' . I 100% agree , watching shows and movies on Disney+ as compared to say Amazon , Disney + 1080p looks way better than Amazon 1080p . Weird thing is that Amazon ( some – not all ) movies have better sound . Disney+ could really boost the audio signal . Just my thoughts !! Later , Dreamer
great video, IMO there is no way should people buy the QM6K when the QM8 is available at the same or a similar price. QM6K is an entry level TV and it definitely shows in HDR content.

Ok Steve I have to interject at this point. I overlooked you stating 2 subwoofers during your initial review of the 6k. However after researching the specs I found that it was listed as having 3 speakers. Meaning 2 downward firing speakers and 1 subwoofer. Also the TV has a max output of 40 watts which is on par with last year Hisense U7N. The Qm8 has 5 speakers with a output of 60 watts. There's no possible way this years entry level model could compete with last year's flagship my dude. Tighten up Tech.
The qm8 has a separate e arc So you can run both of your gaming systems and won’t lose the soundbar I’m currently using the 75 inch qm8 it’s a great tv
Something I hate about my old Samsung 120hz tv from 2005, is that it always has the “soap opera” look which I cannot stand for watching TV and movies. How do these newer panels handle that? My last TV I bought was a Samsung 6900 3 years ago and I hate the HDR on it. On the lookout for a new TV and was looking at these cheaper manufactures. In the past they haven’t faired well with picture quality which is why I stick to Samsung. Just wish Hisense and TCL would make a OLED.
I just got the 75" QM6k yesterday, and I'm really loving it. The factory settings really don't do it justice, and there is a huge difference just switching the TV into intelligent picture mode. I've also seen people mentioning that the brightness was low, but there are tons of settings around brightness that will give you some seriously intense highlights and deep blacks with a smooth contrast in between. I would be curious to see these TVs go head to head with a tuned profile to see which TV is capable of providing the best gaming/movie/tv experience.
If you want a 75 in tv and don’t want to spend over 2,000 for an Oled. Then the best bang for your buck on the market is the QM8. You can get it for 1400 right now.
Hi @techsteve. What firmware are you reviewing for the QM8 2023? FOMO said with v295 it's almost as good as 2024 which is just more bright and better tone mapped over 1500 nits, so just get 2023 for better value. Firmware v297 and v302 are out, so I'm thinking it may be worth keeping the QM8 2023 around for comparisons with the latest firmware.

5:12 Cosplaying your 65" TV as a monitor is fine for consoles but if you have a PC and are playing over 120hz, then it's best to get a 27/32" 4K 160hz/1440p 240hz monitor. A 4K 160Hz IPS is just $350. Grab a QM6K/QM7/U7N instead of a B4/C4 and put the difference towards a gaming monitor.

The Qm8 looks a lot better to me in terms of picture quality the colors look like they pop a lot more can't go wrong with it and it's more affordable.

The qm8 is looking great, it makes the qm6k look hazy and often dull. Definetly the qm805 is the tv to get thats a lot to leave on the table.

The QM8 2023 has 2 empty hdmi 2.1 ports, 1 hdmi 2.0 port and 1 separate the eARC port.

What would you recommend for a budget 75"? Was looking at the U8N, but with it having a different panel, I'm not sure.

QM7k will have all the tech of the QM6K plus it will be brighter. I would wait for the QM7K. That will be the tv to buy
Clearly C805 is better and way cheaper. 482$ to 569 $ with tax in Europe.

Why does the newer model weigh so much less?
Just bought an 85" QM8 the 51G version and the eARC is a separate port and does not take up one of the HDMI 2.1 ports.
