Is this something that you can use?
It works with any display with HDMI input the eARC is processed internally and sent directly to your audio system.
OREI HDA-931 https://geni.us/OZcuK7 $100.00 Bucks!
This was exactly what I needed for my PC…but it's no longer available. 😢
Any alternative device that can be used instead? Thanks
With a pc that has no eARC support, would i be able to connect this together with a Sonos soundbar and get Dolby Atmos output ?
You are THE star!!!
Does this upscale a smart tv arc only , to dolby atmos sound bar, as l can only get 5.1
@techsteve will this work on my soundbar 7.1.4 dolby atmos soundbar samsung hw-n950
Can u run fire stick and a ps 3 with projector with this..? Great video
Will this pass through dolby vision as well then?
hello will this work if my monitor doesn’t support earc but has hdmi2.1?
what about headphones ?
Man first explain your setup details.
'Input Output cable connections settings'
Then explain your problem.
Requirements and finally the solution
How would you connect this extractor to 7.1 ?
Still needs a decoder, digital to analog ?
I can directly connect my TV eARC to eARC soundbar, AVR. But need a decoder and extractor to analog.
Soundbars, Really !?
5.1, 7.1 sound quality won't fit in soundbar.
Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus DTS etc in soundbars are absurd.
Market Gimmicks. Dolby Atmos also in Mobile Phones 😂
You need different speakers in different directions.
Hi, how did you connected both apple tv and xbox to the extractor together at the same time?
Kindly please how can I connect an hdmi eARC from my tv to TWO soundbars at the same time with only two hdmi out
What about Apple TV + Homepods + External speakers possible?
Hello is it possible to connect to the input of the device my Samsung tv and split the sound to 2 earc Dolby Atmos q990c sound bars
I just love that warning in the box that says CANCER AND REPRODUCTIVE HARM way to go guys, I would love to watch tv while getting cancer and saying good bye to my nuts
A while ago I ordered the cheaper Orie audio 2 in 1 extractor.
You were using the Vizio M5.1.2 soundar in this video. That's what I have plus the M5.1. Stupid Vizio didn't make them to be paired as a 2 in 1 sound system to work together on the input election even changing the input selection Toslink Optical cable doesn't work.
From your other review but not solely from your review, I bought the Hisense U8N 55". Unlike Vizio that you don't a special input selection on the TV to use optical cable. It worked without a TV menu selection. So it's either using the HDMI eArc for one audio selection or the optical input for the 5.1.
1 single soundbar doesn't cut the cake. The only thing that sucks about Orie is that they do their own shipping creating a long wait time from the Amazon order to delivery.
I have a $300 soundbar that is a brick at this point.
Fortunately Vizio did it right by doing Virtual Dolby Atmos in Dolby True HD with compressed an audio codex. So using an Optical Cable is no different than the HDMI with the same audio signal compression.
With the Orie extractor I bought it will do the same job with compressed audio with either connection.
TV manufactures suck with one hdmi eARC port instead of making 2 audio connection 1 eARC and 1 ARC.
I want HDMI Atmos to RCA
Does it mean that i can get 7.1 uncompressed audio from any content from apple tv ?
This was done when monitors were at only 120 hz. I wonder if you can get the Dolby Atmos and have a refresh rate on monitor of 480 hz ? Probably not.
My Samsung 49RU7100 49 Inch Flat Smart 4K UHD TV Series 7 (2019) has only ARC input and recently purchased Sennheiser Ambeo Mini 7.1.4 channel having eARC and also have a PS5. So, is it worth to purchase this extractor to get full benefits of audio features and will it convert my ARC to eARC ?
How do i connect a firestick and a soundbar to a 1×4 hdmi splitter ??
So I’m about to start building my first gaming PC and I’ve always been into home theatre. So I’m thinking the audio options for PC kinda suck! Then i noticed I have this amazing Denon Atmos AVR receiver sitting collecting dust as ive recently upgraded my home theatre set up. I could get a good deal on a 7.1 Dolby Atmos bookshelf speaker set up for about 500$. So could this device essentially output the Audio only from the PC to said receiver for 7.1 Dolby atmos gaming? Then I could just use a Desktop DAC for when i wanna play multiplayer games and need a headset?
M4 Mac mini to support Dolby Atmos
@TechSteve What is max audio sample rate supported via hdmi audio output (ie. does it support 192 khz)? If I want to connect an HDMI audio only output signal (2 channel PCM that is not Arc) from Oppo UDP-205 to the box, will it convert it to an Arc HDMI signal (with the same audio only) and output it via it’s A/V HDMI output to go into a receiver like Wiim Ultra with an HDMI Arc input (the receiver only supports Arc HDMI input and not regular HDMI input)?
Hi Steve, how are you? I have a question. I have a Sony STR-KS380 AVR that supports Dolby (up to TrueHD), DTS (up to HD Master Audio), and PCM.
It doesn't have Atmos or DTS:X, and the HDMI ports are 1.4, which means I don't have HDR, VRR, ALLM, etc.
Searching online, I only found two companies that offer audio/video extractors/splitters: Feintech (AX211) and Orei (BK-927).
Could you at least help me achieve HDR? Thank you very much, and greetings from Argentina.
P.S.: My TV/monitor is HDMI 2.1.
Will this work with projectors? Specially the Xgimi 4k model??
Hey Steve! Nice channel and well detailed video! However, I'm on the ropes about making a purchase… I'm worried about the video compatibility, will my hdmi 2.1 video be passed through the extractor? As in will I lose the 120Hz 4K option that I have on some games while using the Orei?
The discontinuation of multichannel RCA out in the early 2000s is the worst thing to ever happen to audio :/
Is it possible to run 5.1 out to a soundbar via HDMI, and simultaneously stereo out (PCM) to a separate DAC for another speaker system?
Hi there got various points would like to make. I hope you do not mind.
I have been looking at this for a while on amazon. The only reason i am hesitating is i am in the uk. I am worried about the plug and power. We use 3 prong plugs. I have no idea if i can just buy a uk plug and use it. I already have an EZCOO hdmi splitter but its not earc. It works well but i can't use the apps on my sky glass tv to avr for audio, except just a stereo signal.
Also i ordered a samsung Q60D. I thought it was coming last friday but it's the 30th aka this coming friday. I noticed this one has arc/earc. So wonder if it will send the hd audio multi channel formats through the ARC function on that tv to my avr. The way it is atm it is only sending stereo back to my avr. I love my sky glass but i have some issues when hdmi output via the avr is connected to the sky glass tv. I get no sound at all. I have to actually disconnect the hdmi out on the avr to the tv to get audio from the avr, Even though arc is disabled on the avr. I was baffled at first but…i suspect because you can't actually turn off the earc on the sky glass tv and it is constantly on, this is probably why i can't get audio out from my avr with the hdmi out on the avr plugged into the skyglass tv. (In other words I cant plug my avr to my sky glass tv directly in any way whatsoever as I will get no audio from the avr.)
I know my post is all over the place here sorry. But i suspect/hope the fact that the samsung tv hdmi is described as arc/earc it will at least send the hd audio multi channel..even if that works it will be fantastic but i doubt it will send the atmos signal. So might still need to get something like this.
P.s another pointer, i also suspect albeit this spitter will send the audio from the tv to avr. I think there is a drawback. For example if you actually have earc on the avr anything you plug into the avr will be sent to the tv (hdr and dolby vision included). This wont do that i reckon. It will only send the signal from the tv to the extractor and then to the avr.
Anyway i am aware that EZCOO do make one of these earc audio extractors but i am very interested in the Orei as it is a bit cheaper 🙂
P.s the sky glass has no optical out either so I had no other option but to use a sky puck via a splitter. So I can access the content I am paying for and hear it through my avr.
Alternatively I just buy another avr for over £1000 and it will solve everything. 😂😂😂 it's not just the money. I got it to sound the way i want it means I would need to set all that up again. Cables…in menu settings. But I will probably bite the bullet eventually as it's all just annoying 😉
are these hdmi ports 2.1? wondering if it will work with a ps5 and the Astro TR A40 with the mix amp
Bro esto funciona con Nintendo Switch 2? PCM 5.1
So, I can plug pc gfx card to input, audio hdmi to my reciver and video hdmi to monitor?
