SDR picture can be adjusted to make colours pop just go into settings change color gamut to Rec 2020, DCI-P3 HDR is quite dark and colours are dull on a lot of videos, a lot of the time SDR looks better
Please , what about The viewing Angle ? , It's better than The U8N? . From what I've heard ( chinese video ) , The U8Q has Micro 0D and anti halo like TCL . Is It true ? . Thanks In advance.
❤❤ Hey love the review! its known —- watching TV in Dark room. The. ❤GAMA needs to be 2.4 vs 2.2 ❤ ( I left at 2.2 for long time myself ). 2.4 is – Designed for——- ( NIGHT TIME ) TV watching. It does some AI processing to make the Color : plesant to the eyes in Black room ❤ Hope this helps 🙂 So the 2.2 Gama – is for Day time watching it can bost more Blue light or something on bright parts i forgot , to make image more irritating in pitch black. As soon as switch : 2.2 – to 2.4 its QD-OLED like Game chaning in dark room 😊

Hi Tech Steve! I have a specific audio question for you. If you turn off the speakers and adjust the volume on the Hisense H8Q, will this TV constantly (and annoyingly) remind you to turn back on your internal speakers? My Sharp XLED does this, so I can't enjoy my Sonos Playbase, because every time I adjust the volume, the "smart TV" reminds me that my internal speakers are turned off.
I am a very happy owner of a U8Q since a few days, but I can't get the settings to perfection for HDR content. The main problem now is, I have the European version, with a VA panel and running on the Vidaa platform.
The recommended settings from your video don't apply on the Vidaa-platform and I can find the answer to this nowhere. On my 55" U79KQ I did not have any problems since day one…
But with the tweaks Hisense made to the 2025 panels I can't find the sweet spot on as well SDR as HDR,
Hopefully you can either tell me where I can find the correct Calman settings or which website I can refer to for further information. Since Reddit e.g. give a lot of text, but no proof of concept or whatsoever 🙂
When I’m on Amazon watching movies or tv my u8q looks so dim how do I calibrate it to vivid I can’t get it out of hdr10 because it looks so dimmed out not vivid enough which is my prefer settings

The U8QG and the QM7K give you performance unheard of at the price point even 3 years ago. Even the built in sound is quite good
