It turns out that I will be buying this TV soon. I’m likely getting the 65" model.
Hi Steve, after going through all of your SONY tv reviews; I bought X90L last week and it's a superb tv. But i cannot get the 4k 120hz output from my PS5 slim. It only shows 4k 60hz in the output settings in the PS5 and also in the game bar menu. Did you face the same issue?
I know this video is older but I wanted to ask, do you have to enable upscaling for lower resolution content or does the TV do it automatically?
I have the 55” X90L and love it. I recently also got a PS2 that I want to use with it, utilizing a retro scaler (RetroTink 2X Pro in my case) to convert component signal into HDMI signal. It outputs at 480p for this version of the scaler.
I’m wondering what other settlings I can play around to get the best picture.
Sony has been on the decline since covid
I have a X90L and you are spot on!
The camera used to shoot this video is amazing 💯
Hai Steve
m confused between Sony A80L and Sony X90L 55 inch, the price difference is $205 between both. Which one to go with?
Thank You
Really nice review.
Sony 75X90L or Sony 65 Bravia 7?
👁️ 250-260 cm.
Hey Steve, Im really on the fence between this the X90L being LED vs the Samsung Q80D being QLED for a (75")? Any help would be appreciated!
I tried the 75” Sony 85k with the X1 processor. Was severely disappointed by any lower resolution content. Returned it and upgraded to this 90L and it’s night and day.
WOULD YOU GO WITH THE SONY TV 98 INCH OVER 100 INCH PROJECTOR SCREEN USING Epson – Pro Cinema 4050 4K FOR HOME THEATER USE?
The dark corners (vengetting??) is a deal breaker for me… I wish Sony would fix this issue!
I thought you were going tp talk about setting up my TV do you have another video that covers just the basic set up. Like Wi-Fi to network etc
Can anyone help please. For 4K and YouTube movies shot in 4K it looks good. Not 100% of the time but when it does it’s “wow” however everything else that is shot in 1080p (which is almost everything on free to air in Aus – like the news, sports, etc) it looks sooooo blurry! I’ve tried everything but it looked way better on my 10 year old Samsung 1080p tv.. so disappointing. People said the upscaling from 1080 was really good.. what am I doing wrong?
I’m between Sony and Hisense of this quality tv. Is the Sony worth the extra money since Hisense is usually cheaper?
Does this tv support pip?
Quantum tv YouTube channel has cleary sony they not what people they are they have been on the decline since covid the bravia 9 is gabage sonys picture quality has rapidly declined
Is the Sony X90L perfect for gaming? I have the ps5 I’m looking for a good decent 4k tv with hdr
Vivid mode? really? Instant unsub
Recommended adding one of those USB 3.0 Ethernet adapters to get faster speeds? Also, why are speeds capped at 10/100 on tvs?
X90l vs Samsung qn85d which is better
Did Sony remove the “display” button/functionality on purpose? Older Bravias have this – when you press the button, it displays the resolution, if it’s HDR, etc, the TV is currently playing but not it’s gone
Instead of Bravia 7 or Bravia 8 I went for X90L. Amazing quality for such low price.
9:11 It is VA panel
and it's view angel isn't very good
My Hisense U8k is broken blue tinted screen working for them to replace it no word so far
Help: I just bought and returned an LG C4 because the whites and highlights made my eyes feel like I was staring at the sun. Is there a way to reduce the brightness of this TV so the whites and highlights aren’t destroying my eyes? It was almost like the C4 had too much contrast and brightness.
The 85 inch is 1400$ at best buy. Thats a steal
Totally agree. Sony has the best colors hands down. Just picked up this tv 55 inch open box for 500 bucks!
Bought this exact TV.. it's my first Sony TV and its really freakin great!
Hey man would you be able to help me out. I got a X90l and I’ve accidentally scraped my screen. I can see a faint film in the corners but some say it’s a none reflective coating, can I remove the film down to the glass or is this a necessary part of my display?
LED TV’s last 10 years, I’m
buying one only for that reason!
Thank you for the informative video, tech Steve. We learned a lot! 😊
