I still have my PS3 slim, so it is great to see that 720p is still supported nicely.. Thank you for this great review..
I am one of the people who will miss the headphone jack, however my speakers do have BT too..
Pre ordered the 75 inch for my in laws and includes soundbar
Great review!
I'll wait for this to go on sale because it's pretty much better in every way over the QM7 except for brightness.
I don't see the selections under Motion Clarity on my 55" model. When I click on it, the blur and judder agjustment appears. As far as the viewing angle goes, it does deteriorate rarther quickly both vertically and horizontally. Overall, I am very impressed with it and waiting for best picture settings. I used older QM8 settings which seem to work fine. My son thought it was an OLED!!
I'm looking at getting either this TV or the Hisense U8N. Which would you prefer?
Arnt TCL part of Pioneer group .
Wow, a huge improvement in TCL devices. The best value for the price, without a doubt.
You are for sure adding a lot of value to this space. I love that I can hear a few things from you that I haven't heard in some of the other major channels that I also watch. Keep up the great work 👍🏾.
How does it compare to the Sony X90L? I know they use different screen technologies.
It's just those ugly leg stands kill the TV for me. The center stand is just so much better so I might just go with QM8 from last year. But I'm waiting to see what Sansui OLED is gonna offer with the 65 and 75 inch models this spring
Was going for U8N now I am sold with QM6k
Anyway thanks for your videos
Thanks. Great information. I will be looking at a cheaper TV in the future. Here in the UK we had a great warranty system where if there was a fault or failure in the first 12 months the retailer would have to replace or refund the item without question. Now it’s become apparent that they are refusing this and insisting after one month the customer must contact the manufacturer themselves for repair. This clearly is against UK consumer law but nonetheless is what is happening. This is very difficult because they use call centres in foreign countries and it is difficult to understand pigeon English and with a lack of product knowledge by staff. I have concluded I might as well buy a budget TV because if I can’t get a 12 month warranty I may as well gamble on a cheaper product and if it fails I’ve lost less money. 👍
700-750$ is too much for an entry-level TCL TV. They increased the price and gimped the performance. It can't even reach 1000 nits…
@Tech Steve is it better then C755 ?
Can you please tell me in Europe name of this model
what's the CPU inside 55QM6K ?
This video is in 4K and HDR? Is that why the picture looks so weird?
i pre-order 75 inch with PS5 for 1200 USD
So it's around 800 usd for tv
And 400 usd for PS5
Hey tech Steve love your videos please keep up the great work that you do. Is it possible that you can do a calibration video for this tv soon?
Great review Steve. How does this compare to the Hisense U8N 65"? Thank you in advance.
Is the tcl QM6K 55 inch is or as the same quality as the 65 inch? Because the person I’m living with says I can’t get a 65 inch TV.
Steve do you have calibration settings for the QMK6? I saw you presented the QM7K settings but not the QM6K.
What you all really need to know – My new 2025 TCL QM6 mini-led tv with Google has been nothing but problems. Worked great FOR THE FIRST WEEK. Google Freeplay TV guide either won't load channel info. or the guide is completely wrong. I've gone through ALL the TCL suggested fixes – none of which work. Having to unplug the TV for a few minutes in order to get it to marginally work is ridiculous. This TV has a great picture but the Google platform sucks bigtime. In addition, Google gives you 2 minutes of commercials every 7-8 minutes. WORST PLATFORM EVER. SLOOOOOWWWWW to respond, you get the looping circle. And no, it isn't my wifi modem. The other TV works perfectly. I'm returning this P.O.S.
I’m torn between this and Samsung Q70D. Mainly concerning reliability. Any advice anyone?
So every new mini led tv has the inconsistent orange/yellow tint in the panel? I received a hisense u8n and for me that tint is awful, distracting, im returning it but if every modern mini led has this type of thinga what is the point? I have one tcl S555 and it doesnt have any horrible tint
Today i got the 55” qm6k. When trying to adjust picture settings i run into an issue of my menu not showing “picture mode”…instead says “picture preset” and ONLY gives choices of Dolby vision IQ, Dolby vision dark, dolby vision bright or dolby vision game. That’s it. No selections showing movie, standard, dynamic, movie or game like others seem to have. Did they take these away and replace w/ these dolby vision things? I’m so confused. I don’t know what to select to watch regular tv (on cable) or movies. I don’t game. Also the brightness & contrast came set at 100…do i leave them there? Where can i go for help on adjusting these settings?
I can't figure out how to control my Xbox Series X with my TCL QM6K remote. I thought there was a way to do that, or do I need to buy a different remote?
Thanks
Well just picked up a QM6K 55 inch. And I'm actually quite impressed so far. I definitely feel its plenty bright despite what some critics say. So hopefully we'll see what the future holds.
I saw this QM6K TV on display yesterday and it's impressive, but I went with QM5K because that was all they had in stock and it was $120 less.
Haven't set it up yet, but I expect it's going to be way better than my 2017 TV.
I’m seeing conflicting reports on the 50inch model. 50inch fits better in my room,55 is just a bit too big for where I sit and game. TCL’s website doesn’t even mention a 50inch either. Just wondering when and if they could be released
Since it’s almost the end of the year?
